Recognition of bravery

We would like to recognise one of our students who showed excellent skills and bravery when they came across a traffic accident on the way to school. A member of the public even got in touch with us to praise how she dealt with the situation.

We are very proud of you Esmae!

Freaky Friday

On the last day of term, students and staff came in dressed for Halloween, and really wowed this year with their costumes!

The afternoon was filled with fun spooky games, a pumpkin trail, trick or treating and a Halloween disco!

Macmillan Coffee Morning

This term, we were able to once again hold our annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was wonderful to get together with parents and carers again for the first time in a while over some coffee and cake!

Thank you to the generosity of parents, staff and our directors, Mick & Marissa, we raised an impressive £500 for Macmillan cancer charity. Thank you so much for taking part.

Football Events

Christou, Keller and Nightingale class have taken part in football events with Mike this term, organised by Inclusive Sport. Our students have always enjoyed trips out to sports events so we are excited that we are able to do these again.

As always, our students were excellent representatives of the school and made us proud. Students will have the chance to take part in more of these sports events throughout the year, and a flyer for sports clubs held by this organisation has been included in this newsletter.

Maddy the Dog

We loved seeing Maddy the dog and her owner Jan again! Students had a chat and stroked Maddy, and some students practiced their reading with her.

Student Council

Due to our Student Councillors not having a chance to take part in many meetings in the last academic year, we have decided to keep them for this year too.

We look forward to continuing to work with our wonderful Councillors, Councillor Narraway, Councillor Osborne, Councillor KMW, Councillor J Todd, Councillor Howard, Councillor D Todd, Councillor Standley–Smith, Councillor Mount, and Councillor L Todd.
