Kingswood

We are immensely proud of our KS4 students who went on our residential trip to Kingswood.

For some, it was the first time that they’d been away from home overnight or the first time that they’d done these types of activities, and it’s lovely to see the confidence they’ve grown.

Thank You Marissa

Term 3 Thank you Marissa

We would like to say a big thank you to Marissa for stepping in as Principal Head whilst Miss White has been on maternity leave, and doing an amazing job of supporting students, parents/carers and staff for the past year. We appreciate all that you do for us! Marissa will continue to be in the office as Director of Education when Miss White returns.

We would also like to welcome Miss White back, she returns on the first day of next term. We have missed her lots and are excited to have her back with us!

World Book Day

Term 3 World book day

We had a great World Book Day this year, we dressed up, had a fun book scavenger hunt, received our free books and had a group story time.

Post 16’s New Look

Ross worked extremely hard over the half-term to give Post-16’s common room and spare classroom a makeover! It looks fantastic and the whole school have been enjoying utilising it as an indoor break and Friday afternoon activity option this term.

Hairdressing Assembly

Our Lower & Middle School students had a fantastic visit from Madison’s mum Denise this term. She gave a talk about hairdressing as a career, and gave a demonstration by doing Madison’s hair. Some students were even able to have a go at shaving Madison’s hair!

We want to say a huge thank you to Denise for taking the time to visit us.

Red Nose Day

Term 3 Red nose day

This year, Red Nose Day was led by our Post-16 class. They asked if any students, parents and carers who would like to donate could send in a food item for Post-16 to take to the Food Bank. Thank you so much to our school community for your generosity. Sixth Form also organised a very fun ‘design your own Red Nose Day nose’ competition!

Easter Celebrations

Students had lots of fun at our Easter celebrations on the last day of term. We had an Easter egg hunt, two assault courses and an egg decorating activity. We hope that you all have a wonderful half-term break!

Unfortunately, the day didn’t go to plan as the train was terminated at Ashford due to problems with overhead cables!

Students dealt with the unplanned changes excellently, and went to Ashford Outlet Village instead. So there was a bit of learning about real-time problem-solving incorporated into the trip too!
