Welcome!
Welcome to our Term 1 news. This news has been written by our wonderful Office Intern, Charlie, who is also one of our Sixth Form students.
Big Achievements
All the students who took GCSE exams in the summer passed! Well done everyone I can tell you’re bound to do amazing things in the future.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
This term the school hosted their annual Macmillan Coffee Morning. It was very busy but it was a fun day and nice to see the cakes everyone has made. They tasted great! It was nice to see the parents, thank you for your donations.
Environmental
This term KS4 went litter picking to help the local community. They filled 5 and a half black sacks full of rubbish which made a huge difference, a big well done to our students! Local residents even came out to clap students for their efforts.
Internships
This term some of the sixth formers started their internships. Theo started at R.S.P.C.A and Brandon, Joe, and Ben started their internships at East Kent Railway. Dom’s been interning at a construction company.
Student Councillors
The student councillors this year are Max, Broden, Charlotte, Asti, Madison, Meliesa, Theo and Dom. Congrats on earning this role, we are looking forward to seeing what you bring to the school. A golden toilet seat (a running joke among the students) perhaps.
Halloween
On Friday the 14th we took part in a Halloween afternoon which was very spooky. We had an, ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here’ inspired game which was called I’m a student get me out of here. Lower School had a not-so-scary (but still fun!) Halloween activity afternoon. Students dressed up for the occasion and looked great.
House Games
OCongratulations Team Simmonds for winning this term’s House Games.
